CFPS Gold Inspection
Commercial Fleet Performance Systems' premium inspection is the SafetyScan Gold inspection, which is significantly more comprehensive than any other inspection being performed today. The Gold inspection far exceeds annual DOT inspection requirements, and meets or exceeds Canadian PMVI inspection requirements as well. It includes all the elements of the SafetyScan Silver inspection, plus the following component inspections:
- Air compressor and air dry purge function;
- Split system air function (emergency brake);
- Windshield washer;
- Windshield defroster and defogger;
- Cab components (drivers seat, floor integrity, driver and passenger restraint systems, visors, cooling/heating systems);
- Engine compartment;
- Load securement parts and overall integrity;
- ICC bumper;
- Steering system ("full travel" test)
- Air suspension system;
- Hood and door operation and integrity;
- Dual tire mating;
- Fluid leaks and lubrication;
- Fuel system
All together, over 800 components are observed, inspected and tested for function and compliance with regulatory requirements and safe operating specifications.
As part of a recommended overall SafetyScan periodic inspection program, the Gold inspection will ensure your fleet remains at peak safety and operational levels, and that unexpected costs associated with maintenance emergencies, breakdowns and accidents are reduced. And each passed vehicle receives a Gold CheckMark- and CVSA-backed windshield decal (valid for [90/120] days) to alert state roadside inspectors that it passed the most rigorous inspection process offered today.
